Ariel X. Burt

Ariel Burt is a Managing Partner at CAERO. She is focused on business development and new opportunities across Asia, Europe and America. Ms. Burt is currently predominately active in the western European and Asian market, by spearheading  CAERO’s ventures together with local teams, as well as the active management of the development activities. She is experienced in planning large-scale mixed use master plan projects for cities and districts globally, as well as in the planning and realisation of complex architectural buildings. She has, in past, worked as an architect and later as a construction supervisor at several different leading architecture firms in Europe and the US. In 2008, Ms. Burt started planning and developing a number of renewable energy parks across Europe, especially in Germany and Italy and later in the US and Asia. She is an alumnus of the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (Zurich) where she obtained her Master of Science ETH with a special focus in engineering and architecture.

Abel Hoehler

Abel Hoehler

Abel Hoehler is a principal at CAERO. He formulates and executes corporate and investment strategies. Mr. Hoehler structures and manages the financial frameworks for CAERO’s projects and works very closely with investors, banks and financial institutions. Mr. Hoehler has, in past, structured, financed and managed transactions above Euros 1.5 Billion mainly in commercial real estate in Switzerland, the UK, Germany and Austria. Since 2004, Mr. Hoehler has been involved in utility scale PV solar and wind power transactions in Europe, the US, and Japan. He has been instrumental in establishing joint ventures with solar module and wind turbine manufacturers such as Q-Cells, REC, Vestas or Gamesa as well as executing and fundraising for timberland and biomass transactions in the US.

Andreas J. Dietl

Andreas J. Dietl

Andreas Dietl is the Principal / General Counsel at CAERO. He is in-charge of all legal, compliance and regulatory matters. Mr. Dietl drives the structuring and managing of transactions and negotiations pertaining to projects and transactions of CAERO. He has worked on numerous transactions, including large-scale renewable projects in Germany, Italy and Poland. Mr. Dietl is a seasoned lawyer with substantial global experience of corporate, business and M & A laws. He has, in past, worked with law firms in the US and Germany following which he joined a major law firm in Germany and rose to the rank of head of the firm’s Tokyo office. After serving for 16 years as senior partner, Mr. Dietl established ARQIS which today is considered to be one of the most efficient law firms in Germany and surrounding countries. He was educated in the US and Germany.

Oliver M. Schilz

Oliver M. Schilz

Oliver Schilz is an Associate Partner with CAERO. He is responsible for identifying investment opportunities, strengthening existing partnerships and furnishing new partnerships with industry leaders in finance and technology arenas of renewable energy. Prior to joining CAERO, Mr. Schilz was Partner of an international investment bank and also served as managing director of the bank’s real estate company. He has over 25 years of experience in the relationship management of national and international institutional investors and family offices. Mr. Schilz is a respected figure in corporate finance, mergers and acquisitions, private equity and project financing. He is also the managing partner of Global Asset Partners GmbH (Germany), a consulting firm specialised in corporate and real estate transactions as part of which he oversees transaction volume of over EUR 1.5 billion.  Mr. Schilz has also served as a partner of a pharmaceutical company and as member on boards of various private and publicly traded portfolio companies.

Lluis Torrent

Lluis Torrent

Lluis Torrent is Chief Technology Officer of CAERO. He is responsible for management of global operations and technology functions. He has, in past, served in a broad range of leadership roles including ABB Global Solar Centre of Competence. Mr. Torrent has been involved in the development, design, construction and operation of more than 100 renewable energy large utility scale projects across 5 continents. He has extensive experience in industrial and power plants automation, high level SCADA and control systems. Mr. Torrent is the Managing Director of Quantum Power, a renewable energy development company headquartered in Tokyo, Japan. He is a member of two renewable energy platforms- one focused in South East Asia and Australia and second focused in Latin America. Mr. Torrent received his degree in mechanical and electrical industrial engineering as well as masters’ in organization and engineering production and masters’ in automation and robotics from Polytechnic University of Catalonia. He also holds an MBA from Instituto de Empresa - Business Schoolis.

Omveer Chaudhary

Omveer Chaudhary

Omveer Chaudhary is the Head of the IT department at CAERO. He is responsible for framing and executing strategies for development of CAERO’s online presence and web interfaces. He is also responsible for cyber security and development of software pertaining to global businesses and renewable energy projects of CAERO. He is a certified software engineer with highly recommended core strengths in coding, web management, research and development of various software platforms. Prior to joining CAERO, Mr. Chaudhary was a senior software developer at leading multi-national company, where he developed, integrated and successfully launched high-quality software designs and architecture. Mr. Chaudhary holds a Masters’ degree in computer applications from MD University (India).

Gary Singh

Gary Singh

Gary Singh is Head of the UI/UX department at CAERO. Mr. Singh is responsible for devising UI and UX interfaces of software, websites of CAERO and supports global projects and business endeavours of CAERO wherein he manages and updates information and contents digitally into CAERO’s various data and web platforms on a periodical basis. He is a certified software developer and works closely with partners of CAERO for formulation of interface strategies, execution of device responsiveness and their successful integration into various web formats. Prior to joining CAERO, Mr. Singh has worked with leading multinational software companies. Mr. Singh holds a bachelors’ degree in computer applications.

Waseem Akram

Waseem Akram

Waseem Akram is a Senior Architect in the Infrastructure and Engineering department at CAERO. He is involved in conducting feasibility studies for power projects, prepare architectural and construction roadmaps for the power projects and executing the same. Mr. Akram is also involved in sourcing deals, overseeing various early stage greenfield project evaluations and leading interdisciplinary teams. He is responsible for providing technical support. Prior to joining CAERO, he worked at several international architecture firms, lead teams of architects and engineers during the design and construction of large scale commercial and residential buildings with a special focus on green energy and sustainable building concepts. He has supervised and coordinated a number of construction sites and is experienced in delivering timely completion, compliant to project plans and specifications. Mr. Akram is a licensed architect and received his Bachelor of architecture and Master of Science in Sustainable Building Technology from the University of Nottingham, United Kingdom.

Mo Ashhab

Mo Ashhab is a Senior 3D Engineering Designer at CAERO. He is responsible for preparing 3-D models of solar power projects. He is also actively involved in planning and designing solar power projects and architectural projects. Mr. Ashhab works closely with internal and external partners to provide creative design expertise and solutions for walkthrough projects. Before joining CAERO, Mr. Ashhab worked as a Senior 3D-Visualizer/Animator at leading architecture and engineering firms. He is a Cisco Certified Network Associate and Microsoft Certified Systems’ Engineer. He holds a bachelors’ degree in computer applications.

Benjamin Gordon

Benjamin Gordon is the Business Support Manager at CAERO. Mr. Gordon oversees the administrative functions of CAERO and is responsible for liaising with government authorities and supports CAERO Global Team in handling of all accounting and operations of CAERO. Mr. Gordon is also actively involved in conducting background research, feasibility studies and business development strategies for global business projects of CAERO. Prior to joining CAERO, he has worked with leading multinational companies handling electrical projects globally. Mr. Gordon holds a master’s degree in business administration(M.B.A) from Sikkim Manipal University (India) and a bachelor’s degree from Delhi University.

Aziz Normatov

Aziz Normatov

Aziz Normatov is a Senior Transaction Manager at CAERO. He is responsible for CAERO’s cross-border real estate acquisitions, development processes and project financing in Europe, Asia with special emphasis on CIS countries, South-East Asia and Japan. He oversees acquisitions, underwriting, deal closing as well    as asset management.  Prior to joining CAERO, Mr. Normatov was involved in the realization of complex real estate transactions of over USD 3 billion in investments and property development in various jurisdictions. He pursued his masters’ in business administration from Waseda Business School in Tokyo, Japan.

John J. Watson

John J. Watson is a Senior Transaction Manager at CAERO. He is involved in developing high quality deal pipelines in the Americas with an objective of realising exponential returns. Mr. Watson is also actively involved in negotiating strategic alliances and identifying new paths for growth. He is also a partner in a technology firm, a media firm and a 144a qualified family office. Prior to his business career, Mr. Watson held numerous positions as an engineer in the utilities and shipping industries and he remains a Lieutenant in the US Navy reserve. He holds B.Sc. in marine engineering from the United States Merchant Marine Academy, Kings Point.

Nicholas Woffinden is Senior Advisor Project Finance at CAERO. Mr Woffinden advises and supports the project finance activities within CAERO. During late stage development process, coordinates with debt finance providers on due diligence documentation, supports term sheet negotiations. As well as the Coordination of draw down formalities for debt facilities and monitoring compliance with financing conditions and obligations.

Andreas Escher

Andreas Escher is a Paralegal and General Manager at CAERO. He is involved in preparing market research, which is the foundation of strategic decision making, with a special emphasis on laws pertaining to renewable energy. Mr. Escher is also involved in CAERO’s digital ventures, developing blockchain projects and devising solutions for finance. He is responsible for Customer Relationship Management, Energy Trading, Enterprise Data Warehousing, Client Reporting, Portfolio Accounting, and Staffing. Prior to joining CAERO, Mr. Escher worked for Credit Suisse in the Investment Banking group. He is a graduate from the University of Zürich, Switzerland.

Holger Puenjer

Holger Puenjer is Business Strategist and Advisor at CAERO. He is involved in creating strategies for business planning, continuance and expansion. Mr. Puenjer is also involved in structuring strategic alliances with third parties as well as steering the established alliances with a strong value reward proposition. He has, in past, held senior management roles (including CEO) with various companies and has successfully completed numerous consultancy and interim assignments across the EMEA and Far East regions.

Daniel Nikolovski

Daniel Nikolovski is a member of the CAERO Asset Management department. Mr Nikolovski is active in investor relations and investor reporting. He is also responsible for delivering customized sustainable investment solutions to institutional clients and CAERO’s equity partners. Prior to joining CAERO, Mr. Nikolovski worked at various Swiss Private Banks, including Julius Bär and Falcon Private Bank, in their Investment Banking and Asset Management groups, where he served for over 17 years. He is a chartered financial analyst and a licensed asset manager. He holds a Masters’ Degree in Banking and Finance from FHNW Zürich, Switzerland.

Himanshu Rai Somani

Himanshu Rai Somani is a Project Manager at CAERO. He is responsible for sourcing of potential business opportunities and executing the same. He is also involved in providing technical support and applying for relevant approvals from governmental authorities. Mr. Somani actively takes part in transacting with clients and governments and conducting feasibility studies. Prior to associating with CAERO, he worked for 7 years with some of India’s top brands and successful established his solar power venture. He holds a bachelor’s degree in electronics and communication engineering and a Master’s degree in business administration.

Daniel Baur

Dr. Daniel Baur is member of the investment committee at CAERO. With his vast experience of investing money and managing teams globally, Dr. Baur is working closely with the global CAERO team preparing projects for the investment committee. Furthermore, Dr. Baur is responsible for investor relations at CAERO Asset Management with a special focus on Institutional Asset Managers as well as UHNW individuals. Prior to joining CAERO, Dr. Baur held various positions within the banking and asset management industry at Schroders, Deutsche Bank, AIG Private Bank / Falcon Private Bank (Deputy CIO  I Head Global Asset Management) and at UBS within the UHNW Segment. Dr. Baur holds a PhD in Finance from the Swiss Banking Institute of the University of Zurich. He is a CFA Charterholder and Certified Alternative Investment Analyst (CAIA).

Christian Rockefeller

Christian Rockefeller is Senior Advisor at CAERO. He is responsible for investor relations and partners of CAERO. Christian plays an active role in managing relations with governments globally and multinationals for CAERO. Christian is also actively involved supporting the team in sourcing, structuring, analysis and execution of cross-border transactions for CAERO. Prior to advising CAERO, Mr. Rockefeller worked with Rose Rock IFC (a China based real estate and PE fund) and also an active Trustee of Rockefeller Family Trust. He is co-founder of the Rose Rock Culture Group and alumnus of Boston College, USA. 

Sophia Bender

Sophia Bender

Sophia Bender is a new addition to the Young Renewables Energy Leaders Program at CAERO. She will be learning to develop an ongoing dialogue with our partners through a strategic land search and development process. Ms. Bender has previous experience with community outreach and sourcing donations from her previous volunteer work at Geisinger Hospital. Born in Pennsylvania, where hydraulic fracturing has become prevalent; Sophia will be pursuing a Biology degree. And with practical experience in green energy, Ms. Bender hopes to discover her personal specialty in the Biology world.

Adi Dua is an Advisor to CAERO for Asia / Pacific. He plays an active role in advising and synchronizing with CAERO Board on operational strategic excellence, country specific compliance and regulatory framework. He is a special advisor and member with various prestigious national and international trade and commerce committees and regularly undertakes policy framework advisory and consultative roles with Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI), Europe India Chamber of Commerce (EICC), the U.S.-India Business Council (USIBC). He is a Director with Agilis Global( A XL Group Company) and has over 18 yrs. experience of supporting American & European companies by providing strategic guidance to enter into Asian market through Incorporation, Liaison Office, JV, M&A, Subsidiary channels and support them to expand their presence in Asia. He has extensively worked in United States, Singapore and India being associated with various Multinational firms such as Nestlé, IBS, IMS Health etc. He has done his Management education from Indian Institute of Management Calcutta (IIM-C).

Benoy Thanjan

Benoy Thanjan

Benoy Thanjan is a Managing Director of Development of CAERO Renewable Energy Projects. He is focused on business development and new opportunities across the US. Benoy has worked on all facets of the development of renewable energy power projects. This includes initial site evaluation, permitting, financing, sourcing equipment, and negotiating the long-term energy and environmental commodities off-take agreements. He manages due diligence processes on land, permitting, and utility interconnection and is in charge of financing and structuring through Note to Proceed (“NTP”) to Commercial Operation Date (“COD”). Benoy composes teams suitable for all project development and construction tasks. He is also involved in project planning and pipeline financial modeling. He has been part of all sides of the transaction and this allows him to provide unique perspectives and value. Benoy has extensive experience in financial engineering to make solar projects profitable. He was the Environmental Commodities Trader in the Project Finance Group for SolarCity which merged with Tesla in 2016. He originated Renewable Energy Credits(“REC”) trades with buyers and co-developed their REC monetization and hedging strategy with the senior management of Tesla to move into the east coast markets. Benoy was the Vice President at Vanguard Energy Partners which is a national solar installer where he focused on project finance solutions for commercial scale solar projects. He also worked for Ridgewood Renewable Power, a private equity fund, where he analyzed potential investments in renewable energy projects and worked on maximizing the financial return of the projects in the portfolio. Benoy also worked on the sale of all of the renewable energy projects in Ridgewood’s portfolio. He was in the Energy Structured Finance practice for Deloitte & Touche and in Financial Advisory Services practice at Ernst & Young. Benoy received his first experience in Finance as an intern at D.E. Shaw & Co., which is a global investment firm with 37 billion dollars in investment capital. He has a MBA in Finance from Rutgers University and a BS in Finance and Economics from the Stern School of Business at New York University. Benoy was an Alumni Scholar at the Stern School of Business.

Samantha Sharma is a Human Resources Manager at CAERO. She is actively involved is supporting CAERO with HR Operations including CAERO's talent acquisition, policy matters, internal communications and co-ordination with management at CAERO. Samantha comes with a rich experience of human resource development functions. She has worked with reputed companies across Asia. She holds a Master's degree in Human Resources from Rajasthan Technical University and her graduation degree in Information Technology from M.D.S. University, Ajmer (Rajasthan).

Manon Pandey

Manon Pandey is Manager, Employee Relations in Global HR Team of CAERO. She actively involved with Global HR Team of CAERO for internal operations, employee management including CAERO talent acquisition, policy matters, internal communications and responsible for exectution of HR functions in co-ordination with Cheif Manager at CAERO. Monan comes with a rich experience of human resource development functions. Prior to working for CAERO, she has worked as HR Generalist with Astroscience Technology Pvt. Limited. She has earned her Master's degree in Human Resources from Delhi University.
